Seminar on Urban Greenhouse Gas Monitoring for Carbon Neutrality Held at Seoul Institute.

A seminar on urban greenhouse gas (GHG) monitoring for carbon neutrality was recently held at the Seoul Institute. At the event, Mr. Hanlim Lee, CEO of Novascope Inc., delivered a presentation titled “Commercialization of Greenhouse Gas LiDAR Technology – Measurement of CO₂ and CH₄ Emission Fluxes.”

Mr. Lee introduced the principles and operational cases of a high-performance LiDAR system being developed based on domestic technology, highlighting its potential for precise GHG emission estimation and policy verification in urban areas.

The seminar also featured participation from various experts, including Dr. Jungmin Yoo (Seoul Institute), Dr. Youngtak Oh (KIST), Mr. Yongseok Choi and Mr. Incheol Ryu (Health and Environment Research Institute), and Mr. Seongjin Bae (Seoul Metropolitan Council), who engaged in in-depth discussions on urban GHG monitoring technologies and policy applications.

The seminar is expected to serve as an important reference for Seoul’s carbon neutrality strategies and contribute to the future demonstration and commercialization of urban GHG monitoring technologies.
